Ban Non Sa-at Women’s Community Enterprise

Ban Non Sa-at Women’s Community Enterprise was formed, inspired by the local wisdom of making good use of weeds such as reeds that grow in the community to make reed mats. Later more products from reeds were also developed including bags and saucers. With unique patterns created by the group, the products are classified as 4-star by the OTOP Project.

Currently this community enterprise has 30 members working in the upstream to downstream: from planting, collecting, drying, weaving, product designing, and sales. Each member of the group does what she/he is good at, making the group well known for its unity, works sharing, and ‘think together and do together’. The reed products of this group are also known among customers for having high quality and unique patterns.
