Tai Lue Weaving Group was formed in 2000 by a group of women in Ban Thung Mok community who wanted to use their free time to earn additional income for their families, at the same time conserving Tai Lue weaving tradition. The group has continued to develop its activities in cotton planting, natural dyeing, fabric pattern design and product design. Moreover the group has further developed expertise for its members, strengthening local wisdom and empowering women in the community.
After all the 30 members of the group were trained in Tai Lue weaving tradition, the Tai Lue fabric of this group became very popular with the unique patterns reflecting traditional way of life of Tai Lue community and abundance of natural resources in the area of Tai Lue community.
