Ban Rong Po Occupation Promotion Group was formed by women in the community who wanted to generate additional income for their families apart from farming activity. Many women have acquired sewing skill from their mothers and from working in the supply chains of Naraya which is the largest Thai brand for hand made products.
Currently the group has 30 members and has registered as Community Enterprise under the name of ‘Ban Rong Po Weaving Group Community Enterprise’. Products include notebook bags, curtains, pillows, bags made of water hyacinth plant.
