Sra Yai Som Women Agriculture Group consists of women who make processed food using local banana called ‘Garb Khao Suphan Buri’ which originated in Suphan Buri province. The women group makes baked banana roll. The banana roll has been classified a 5-star product by the One Tambon One Product Project (OTOP), making it popular among the customers and generating good income for the group members.
The Foundation for Labour and Employment Promotion (FLEP) has been supporting the women group in terms of business development skills, online marketing, and creating new products. Apart from banana roll, the group also makes banana paste and banana chips. These products are well known for unique pleasant taste and tenderness. The women group uses solar energy house or Parabola Dome Greenhouse in the process of drying up banana ensuring food safety and hygiene.
