Women Group Sor Kor Thung Song Hong Community Housing

Women Group Sor Kor was formed by a group of women in Thung Song Hong community who did sewing work but earned poor wages. The women got together aiming to collectively bargain for better wages. Along with other organisations, the Foundation for Labour and Employment Promotion (FLEP) supported the organising initiative, advancing sewing and business management skill and online marketing. As well as initiatives to strengthen the women group in accessing social benefits. Currently the women group has 53 members.    

Products of the women group include boutique apparels for department stores, Thai dresses, skirts, blouses and trousers. The group also provides tailoring services. Members of the group have long experience with good sewing skill and their products are of high quality and well accepted.
